I just did a qiuck Autotraderonline search and turned up several low mile cars priced between $6800 and $7800 and 1999 and newer. Here are a few of the choices.

1999 Used Saturn SC1 40,828 Mileage $6,995
2001 Used Ford Mustang Coupe 44,000 Mileage $7,800
2005 Used Kia Rio 31,263 Mileage $7,745
2004 Used Chevrolet Cavalier 13,600 Mileage $7,700
1999 Used Nissan Frontier King Cab XE 16,335 Mileage $7,595
2005 Used Ford Focus ZX5 12,980 Mileage $7,595
2004 Used Chevrolet Cavalier 32,000 Mileage $7,500
2004 Used Hyundai Accent 28,500 Mileage $7,400
2002 Used Hyundai Elantra GLS 34,715 Mileage $7,200
2000 Used Pontiac Grand Am SE Coupe 36,921 Mileage $6,995
2004 Used Chevrolet Cavalier 37,000 Mileage $6,990
2002 Used Ford ZX2 Escort 27,506 Mileage $6,988
2001 Used Mercury Grand Marquis 30,000 Mileage $7,500

None of these excite me but I have driven thousands of miles in Cavalier rental cars and found them comfortable with pretty good gas mileage. Same with the Grand Am. It's not a car I really like but it serves its purpose well. I didn't find any of the better imports in this search.

Man... where are you guys finding Preludes, MR2, Talon, 240sx with less than 50k odo and cost $8k?
Of course you can't find some of those cars with under 50K, but even at 100K they still make great purchases given that price. And I did buy my Talon TSI AWD 4 years ago for 5500 with 52K on the odo... had a title though, clear titles at the time were going for 8000. I remember seeing a 95 Eclipse GSX at a dealer with 60K on it for 9000.
