I'm still learning the world of cars, but when you guys say ring time, do you mean one huge circle lap?

No. "Ring time" refers to a given car's fastest recorded single lap around Germany's Nurburgring race track. It's pretty much the most coveted track on Earth, and thus many pro drivers test their mettle on it religiously, and many manufacturers use it to tune their cars' drivetrains, chassis and suspensions.

A time of 7:15 for one lap of the "Ring" is a high watermark for a car, and very few have come close to that, let alone achieved it, or bettered it. Consequently, we are discussing the likelihood of a new Skyline GT-R getting anything close to that time.
