I honestly dont see what the big deal is. I have about 10-20 C6 model vettes in my immediate neghborhood. Ranging from regular models, to Z06s. More than half of them have over 600hp, some over 800, a few over 1000 (L.felter kits).....

It really isnt that big a deal to get 600hp from a C6.

How many 600hp cars can you name that come with that kind of power from the factory and are readily available? I can't think of any. The Carrera GT and Enzo are quite rare, the Veyron even more so, and the Ford GT doesn't quite make that kind of power (and is still pretty rare). The Zondas and Koeniggseggs are, for all intents and purposes, unavailable as well.

It might not be a big deal to get 600 hp out of a C6 (to you) but it's a big deal to get it from the factory with a warranty.

The white Z06 is the Fellows (as in Ron Fellows) edition. This is one of two 'special editions' due out by year-end. The other is the replica Indy 500 pace car. (Insert exasperated yawn here.)

The Fellows version looks pretty cool and only 500 will be built.

I won't even comment on the SS vs. GT3 debate. Apple and Oranges.

but the '08 Viper has 600hp too! It is a heavier car, but it's till a badass too.
