Default 4 Wheels or 2?

I'm not sure if this in the right section to post this in, so if it needs to be moved, thank you.

4 Wheels or 2?

Car or bike: Who among us hasn’t asked the question? After all, don’t we like practically anything that goes zoom? As long as glistening chrome, shapely metal, a snarling exhaust and a purposeful stance are involved, the resulting machine will likely be irresistible to most of us.

But should it matter if that machine has four wheels, or only two?

Let’s face it, a lot of the same things that draw us to classic and modern sports cars attract us to motorcycles. In garages across the country—including those of several Classic Motorsports staff members—you’ll find cars sharing space with two-wheeled companions. Many a Sunday morning is spent coming to a firm decision on which of the two will provide the most satisfying afternoon drive.

So which is it? Does a car or a motorcycle provide a more complete motoring experience? Obviously we’re a car magazine, but that doesn’t mean we can’t ask the question. It also doesn’t prevent us from doing a little hard research to find the answer.

Sportbike, hands down. I've got several. The visceral experience in the twisties or on the track trump any car experience FOR ME.

x2 - Bike no question! It's easier to go fast in a car, but even going slow on a bike is much more entertaining..

I have no doubts the bike is more fun but 4 wheels lets me to more.

I'd say a traditional 4-wheeled passenger car will always be able to offer more of a "complete" motoring package anyway you look at it. Taken to the extreme, you could theoretically carry on a somewhat normal conversation with your passenger in your SLS AMG GT while going around the Nurburgring at full tilt, but you cannot do the same on a [insert whatever is the 2-wheeled equivalent of God's chariot here].

But I doubt anyone would argue against having an example of both given two slots in the garage.

This is why I have both a sports car and a motorcycle. While they can be pricey, good bikes can be bought for almost nothing.

The most complete motoring experience is obviously to have both.

i will stick to 4 wheels after this..(link to my helicopter ride below)... lol I have had a motorcycle license since i was 16... made it to my 3rd sport bike before trying to kill myself... i had a ZX6R and unfor i cannot control myself so we (my buddy and who also had a zx6) would see 160+ all the time. (i think motorcycle speedo's are optomistic so 155+)...

Motorcycle hands down. But I'll never own one. Too dangerous imho. Especially where I live

I'll take 4 wheels and some form of a metal cocoon, thank you very much. It's a self-preservation instinct.
