4-door sedan with s2000 performance?

E36 4dr is the only true 4dr that handles on the same plane as the s2000. Rx-8 also handles very well but something about the car can't get me excited. I don't care if it has 200 or 250hp, but it does irritate me that many people get awful fuel mileage out of it. In dollar terms it shouldn't matter, I rarely drive any of my cars more than 3-4k miles a year.

my previous car was a rx8 6mt handling/body roll is very similar to the s2k although the rx8 is only a little bit more progressive and not as twitchy as the s2k.
both have 50/50 weight so steering/handling is same
both have 9k rpm and WEAK torque
the only thing i can say is the rx8 FEELS like an s2k w/o vtec engagement i wait for the power to kick it and wait and wait and wait then uh oh time to shift

I've driven RX-8s extensively, and they're very capable cars, not to mention easier to drive at the limit than the S2000. The biggest gripe about them, as others have mentioned, is that they lack power, but other than that they're great.
