4-Door S2000 Equivalent
#21
Civic Si 4 door. Just like the coupe, it has S2000 DNA with its 6 spd tranny, light weight, and 8000 rm engine. RX-8, M5, RS4, and M3 are all vastly different for more than a few reasons each.
Hands down: Si 4 door is THE closest thing to an S2000 experience in a 4 door package.
RWD vs. FWD argument:

With the sun roof and windows open, on a twisty road on the way home from work, the Si comes as close to the S2000 as any coupe or sedan on the road can. Same six speed transmission, the Si's shifter is second only to the S. Both have engines that live in low boil and a tap on the accelerator makes them boil over. Both cars put a smile on your face every time you drive them, and very few other cars on the road ever do that.
If you want a four door that reminds you of, and shares the same feel as an S2000, wait for the 4 door Civic Si.

Absolutely right. I have a 2006 Civic Si that I use for my daily driver and a 2002 S2000. The Si is the only car that comes close to feeling and driving like the S2000. They are both lightweight, nimble and quick. Granted the S is rear wheel drive and the Si is front wheel drive, but so what. They are different, but they are very much the same. In fact the cars share the same DNA and have the same attitude. I like to think of my Si as an S2000 that hasn't grown up yet.

Going from my old Integra to the S2000 was awesome, I distinctly remember the first time driving an S2000 and remarking as to how easy of a transition it was- the gearbox, pedals, powerband, etc. etc. all felt similar. One Honda to another. Go figure .

Not only that, but jumping from an S2000 into an Si will probably feel very natural (I'm guessing, Ralper can confirm).
