I've said this many times, that Hyundai and Kia are poised to be the next Honda and Toyota.
Hyundai has come a long way and I think the Genesis and next gen Tiburon will be great sellers for them. They build a pretty cheap...pretty reliable car and the Genesis will be hard for many to not at least take a look at. Kia still sucks...they build junk but it's cheap junk.

It's a big enough advancement in Hyundai product that Toyota and GM were first on line to buy a model.

My dad bought a new '09 Sonata Limited 4 banger as a daily beater and I am really impressed with that car. Before I buy another sedan, I will definitely give the Genesis a drive.

Based on what I saw in the Azera, my concern won't be with material quality of fit and finish, especially when you through Hyundai a few more bucks as you will with this car. My concern is with people getting over the image in this american brand based consumer market. I know these will sell like crack at a rehab clinic in Korea.

Agreed, the Azera is very, very nice cruising sedan.

This reminds me of Lexus LS400 when it was first introduced, check out this very old Top Gear clip reviewing this Lexus against BMW and Merc at that time, its like the story being told again but this time with the Genesis:

Jeez thats old, all those euros didnt come with AC standard lol. You can tell how far along cars have come.. Jaguar isnt even considered when comparing cars anymore in this segment. Lexus Merc and BMW have ran away from the pack, with that said... I love the new Genesis and will definetly take a look at it if I decide to purchase a luxo vehicle.
