Why have both?

Why have a Rolex, Breitling, TAG Heuer, and a Movado? They all do about the same thing a cheap Timex does.

If it was up to me I'd have one of every sportscar made.

Lots of fine watches don't depreciate like cars, and don't require insurance, maintenance, lots of storage space, etc.

Obviously it's a personal choice, but I'd rather have one higher end sportscar like a Cayman S, Z51 C6, etc. for roughly the same $$$ outlay. S2000's and 350Z's are hardly the Rolexes, Breitlings, etc. of cars! LOL

Excess is an awesome thing... if you can afford it. Although I probaby wouldn't do the same thing, I can understand what the OP did. I'm sure a lot of folks on these boards would love some kind of combination of a supra, fd rx7, and/or 300zx in their stable and this is no different.

Little goofy combination but more power to you. I like to diversify a little and would probably have bought a luxo at this point but that should be a lot of fun.

I can't hate, I've had 2 sport bikes just for the street on several occasions, now that's dumb.

I don't see much wrong with having those 2 cars. One roadster for the sunny days and one coupe for DD.

I have two yellow verts-- an S2000 and a 911. Mainly the reasoning for this was that I was ready to upgrade to the 911, but not ready to get rid of my S2000. It's relatively low mileage with show-room-quality paint, but I could maybe sell it for $15k? Not worth it to me. I get much more enjoyment out of that car than $15k's worth.

coupe always good for DD. convertible is good for weekend. S2000's resale value isn't good now. i checked out that 2005-06 only worth around 20000-24000.
