350z or STI?
I was in the subaru dealership last weekend looking for a car for the wife. I finally had the chance to check out the STI, Lovely car. So the question is, should I pick up the STI for myself or keep my Z? My wife went with a mini.
I decided to come ask a unbiased board since I already know the answers from clubwrx and my350z.

It depends what you mean by total package. To me, total package = uncompromised traction (4wd), enough power, great mod potential, decent looks.
In this case, I'd choose the STi.
But if by total package you mean a daily driver with respectable performance when needed, and long-drive comfort and trunk capacity, classy looks, then the Nissan is for you.
Either way, you can't lose.

I"m attracted to the STI for its out of the box performance not to mention modability, its passenger space and the cheap insurance $800.00 savings per year over the 350z.
I like the 350z because of looks. Honestly IMO the 350z is decently fast, but it handles like a fat slippery turd.
I'm waiting to see if subaru can beat the interest rate my bank offered my. If they can I will probably get the STI. Minus that god aweful spoiler.

The STi is faster and at the same time more practical in terms of interior space and 4-season usability. The 350Z is probably more comfortable and definitely has a better sound system. Still, I'd pick the STi.

The Sti is a better package, by far.. come on.. 4 seats 4 doors, you can take 4 people with you, nothing better then that. Big trunk, lots of amenities and you can surprise the hell out of a Z06. You get AWD to! Although its kinda like Arnold in his prime.. Bug ugly and muscular. The 350Z is a prom princess that will get you a lot of looks, a lot more then the Sti and offers great perf but only for only 2 people

This is a real "apples vs. oranges" kind of question. Two vastly different cars. I really dig the STi. If I didn't have the S2000 - I'd probably be driving the scooby. The 350z doesn't do much for me. I'd rather have the G35.
