350Z or G35 sport coupe???

I was pretty set on the 350Z convertible touring, until I went to the LA Autoshow and sat in it. I didn't think the interior was a big deal (from the pictures), but once I played with the knobs, panels, etc. I was shocked on how cheap the interior really is. When I tapped the panel it didn't even open, I had to use my finger to pull it up, and when I did the panel itself wobbled. The plastic knobs felt unbelievably cheap. Just incredibly disappointing. I then sat in the Infiniti G35 coupe, and it was a little better. It is "acceptable" but if you are looking for the Infiniti to match the Lexus, or even the S2000 I was shocked that it was not even close.

I'd take the G35C 6-Speed with leather. Better exterior and interior.
You can't fit most of the 350Z mods on the G35C but there are mods coming out for the G35. Just look at some big stores and you will see.

at first I was like man too many 350z's were out there. but now that i look at both cars. the 350z sits lower and looks sportier to me. Plus Its more affordable for me as well.

I'd pick the G35 coupe over the Z, though I like the Z roadster.
The Z seems a little "cheap" on the interior and with the G you get backseats at least.
The mods are NOT swapable, but Nismo is working on many new things for the G, so hang in there. I think the twin turbo is out. There is supposedly a new G35 in Phoenix that is totally tricked out now (twin turbo, exhaust, etc.) and it will all be installed by a (gulp!) DEALER in the area.

I'd pick the G35c for many of the previously mentioned advantages (dealer support, sunroof, value, etc.).
I think they both look great, and would have a difficult time saying which one looks better.
Don't be fooled into thinking the performance differences are miniscule, though. Forget the #'s, the G35C felt much softer, milder, and more sedate. You could narrow the differences easily enough through the aftermarket, but stock vs. stock the Z is a lot more fun to drive IMO.
