I think I read somewhre that their having problems fitting stuff under the g35's hood because its different than the 350z....basically they make alot of performance parts for the Z, which have the same motor, but the hood shape is different, therefore is still more limited....someone correct me?

I own a '04 G35 6MT in Twilight Blue and it is an awesome car, I would highly recommend it over the 350Z.
Yes the two seats are different but the quality feels much better with the G than the Z. Plus you get the 4 year 60k miles bumper to bumper warranty....and from experience, Infiniti service is leaps and bounds better than Nissan's. Must be the "up-scale" brand.
As for the car, to me...it just feels better. That might be a subjective opinion, as is that it looks much better than the Z. If speed is your thing, the Z has been shown to be faster. But not by much, the G is only .1 slower in the 1/4. And you don't have to worry about the tire feathering problem that the Z has....
The only con for the G is the clutch, even after a month of driving, it still doesn't feel "right". But hopefully it will someday.
