Yeah, the BMW 3-series is still the benchmark for sports sedan dynamics, but the compettition is getting better. I think the Lexus IS350 is worth a look. It may not have the all out chasis dynamics of the BMW, but it has a great engine, smooth looks, and is probably cheaper to own and maintain in the long run. Just my 2 cents.

I agree. The BMW's closest foreign competitors must the be the G35 and Lexus IS350. I wonder why they hardly ever compare those two in 1 on 1's.

G37 now...
Even though I own a G35, I think the IS350 is a better car.

Automatic transmission can be faster than manuals on turbo cars - see the 911 Turbo. By keeping the throttle wide up the entire time, boost doesn't have to be rebuilt after every shift.

I hear BMW is releasing their own mods now for the 335I and dropping Dinan affiliation?

For example exhaust and an ECU reflash which should be similar to the procede. Procede is not under warranty (huge HP and TQ gains) but if BMW does this then it is!! Need to read more.................
