Car is fricking YUGE! And it looks like a Checker taxicab, like it belongs in a Dick Tracy cartoon.
4000 lb. = less fun to drive.
I'd MUCH rather have a G35 sedan. Or used 3-series. Or IS300. Or...
If "tank-like" and "brick-like" are POSITIVE descriptions to you rather than negative, then maybe it's the car for you.
As someone once said: Those who like this kind of thing will find that this is the kind of thing they like.

I have a 2006 300 touring and love it. It is my daily driver and an awesome cruiser. There is a reason that it was car of the year for several publications. THe car isn't going to win any autoX events, but it has decent handling for a full size sedan. If you do pull the trigger, be sure to get the upgraded radio. I paid the $195 for Sirius, but the radio with that option doens't show the song or artist. Just FYI.

I drove a V6 300C for a week (rental). It's got nice room and well built but no fun to drive. It floated over bumps and the rear end was light meaning it would spin it tires like mad if the roads were wet. Also the stability control was very intrusive when making a U-turn it would cut the engine and apply the brakes.
Overall it was OK for a domestic but nothing I'd care to own.

one time, I down graded to a base nissan altima insteal for a 300. They rental people through i was crazy. Why would I want to go from a "Luxuray car" to a altima, because it drives like crap.

Magnum.
If you're going to get a boat, you might as well be able to haul stuff.
If you're going to buy a wallowy sedan, there are better ones to buy IMHO. The only thing it has going for it is looks.
