Your right one downside would be that compared to the S2000 there are a lot more around.

What if any were the differences in the Touring and the Limited?

Car is fricking YUGE! And it looks like a Checker taxicab, like it belongs in a Dick Tracy cartoon.

4000 lb. = less fun to drive.

I'd MUCH rather have a G35 sedan. Or used 3-series. Or IS300. Or...

If "tank-like" and "brick-like" are POSITIVE descriptions to you rather than negative, then maybe it's the car for you.

As someone once said: Those who like this kind of thing will find that this is the kind of thing they like.

If you are doing it for need because you need a big car, maybe but Hemi only. The power is great, but the car is big and does not like to be thrown around much.

The big V6 is adequate but keep in mind it is 250 hp in a 4000 pound vehicle.

If you enjoy your S2000 becuase you like to row the gears and the fact it is light on its feet, the 300C might not be for you. The hemi is fast in a straight line but that fun wears off.

I'd agree with a TL recommendation, or G35, but would also throw in Legacy Spec B. They are not as big, but unless you are 6'4"+ and over 300 pounds, most of the space in the 300c is just, "there." Its big for big's sake.

The weight sucks but the V8 would help make up for some of that. As far as the interior goes the 2.7 liter from the pics I have seen does look kind of cheap. The 3.5L and 5.7L both have upgraded interior.

I like the comments this is helping me out.

The differences in Touring and Limited are mainly amenities, wheels, etc. Plus the Touring I think has the option for the smaller engine, while the Limited gets the bigger V6. The differnces are small untill you get into a C. For the interior, the plastic on the dash and door sills is hard to ignore - it does cheapen the interior, especially when you look at some other cars in this price range.

If you need a huge sedan - the 300 is a good choice imo. If you only need the space of a G35, 3-Series, TL, etc, I'd recommend a Subaru 2.5 GT or a 3.0R over any of them. I think for the money the NVH, quality, performance, and bang for your buck, reliability of a Subaru is unmatched.

Here's the 300 as a 10 Best winner in 05, for review - http://www.caranddriver.com/bestcars/8919/...size-sedan.html

Saki thanks for the information and link I will have to check it out. I have heard a lot of good things about Subaru's. I will look into them before I get serious.

I still have to convince myself this is the right move. I love the S2000 but want something a little bigger with great features.

For driving experience, if you're trying to keep the feel of the S2000 i'd steer away from the 300C. I think the 300C is a great car for what it is, comfortable highway cruiser for the most part, big enough for rear adult passengers, etc. But a quick and nimble sedan it is not.

I like the looks and interior of the 300C. I just would hope the power of the V8 would keep me content after have the power the S gives.

I have a Legacy wagon, it's not the turbo version but same build quality, I have driven a spec B Legacy as well.

The Legacy is going to be a lot smaller especially in the rear seats but can still fit adults in back.

The Legacy has the advantage of AWD, can get MT (5-speed or 6-speed on the spec.B).

I don't want to say the Legacy is in the same class as the 300C it's medium size and probably can be more fun to drive overall since it weighs 500 lbs less ( than the Chrysler).
