Default 300C

I would like any opinions good or bad on the 300C. I have never driven the V6 or the HEMI V8 so I need your guys/gals feedback.

Would a person be happy going from the S2000 to the 300?

I have searched but would like some new updated info from anyone.

Thank you.

SRT8 or bust. The v6 sucks, but you can get AWD now i think. The Hemi is cool, i like the idea of cylinder deactivation but i have yet to drive one of the hemi models.

I drove a V6 300C for a week (rental). It's got nice room and well built but no fun to drive. It floated over bumps and the rear end was light meaning it would spin it tires like mad if the roads were wet. Also the stability control was very intrusive when making a U-turn it would cut the engine and apply the brakes.

Overall it was OK for a domestic but nothing I'd care to own.

Was it the 2.7L V6 or the 3.5L V6.

The 2.7 has 190hp and the 3.5L bumps up to 250tq and 250hp.

The V8 is around 350tq 350hp.

I guess an easy way to know if it was 2.5 or 3.5L was the interior leather or cloth?

The 300C with the Hemi is a decent car. I think it looks fine inside and out, though it's not amazing or anything.

The motor is great - lots of torque, lots of passing power, makes nice sounds, and has a decent transmission with it.

It isn't a sports car by any stretch of the imagination. It is best suited to highway cruising (which it does very well).

Honestly, for the money, I'd take an Acura TL, Infinit G35, or BMW 3-Series for that kind of money. Sure, they're not as big but they're more fuel efficient, better looking, have better resale, and are generally as or more engaging to drive.

It was the 3.5L (touring) model.

It was OK on dry roads except any aggressive driving made the stability control take over. If I was looking at getting a 300C I would want an AWD version which You can get with the 5.7L hemi (but not the 6.1L).

It looks like the 300C is the way to go if a person was to take that route. I have never been in the TL but I love the looks of it and know it has some great power and options.

I've driven the Touring, Limited and SRT8 models, and I find the car is nice overall, but Chrysler reliability scares me. I'd buy used because the depreciation rate is so high, but then I'm worried about reliability...

Overall however, everything I've read rates the 300 as a reliable car, and they have been out for a while now. Chrysler had serious problems with the previous gen large cars (Intrepid, etc) and engine sludge, so maybe quality was up when the LX cars came out.

They are the biggest car for the money you can get, and the driving dynamics are good - rwd and nice suspension, plus a tank-like feel in how solid the car is. The only down side is there are so many!

The SRT8 seats are by far the best, for performance driving, but all the seats are comfy. Personally, I'd get a used SRT8 - other than people drag racing them, they won't be terribly abused, and the package is nice overall.

I've noticed the awd 300s sit high on the wheels - not sure why, but it ruins the look. Plus, I know enough people with awd problems on Jeeps to stay away from Chrysler awd, but I don't actually know if the awd on the 300 is from Chrysler or the MB.
