3 new American cars coming in 06
2006 Cadillac DTS
The Northstar 4.6L V-8 engine is available in two configurations: the 290-horsepower L37 and the 275-horsepower LD8 (horsepower ratings are estimated). The L37 version is a responsive, higher revving powerplant with more peak horsepower and a higher redline (6700 rpm vs. 6500 rpm). The LD8 puts more emphasis on quick launch and part-throttle response with greater peak torque.
2006 Buick Lucerne
The Buick Rainier SUV brought V-8 power back to the division, and Lucerne is the first Buick car to offer V-8 power in a decade. The V-8 features a 4.6L, 32-valve dual overhead cam engine, estimated at 275 horsepower. The 3800 Series III V-6 is rated at 195 horsepower. The V-6 engine is Super Ultra Low Emissions compliant and, like the V-8, features Electronic Throttle Control, which seamlessly matches driver input with engine response and overall fuel efficiency.
2006 Merucry Milan
Milan offers two engine choices

The DTS would look a lot better with a different face. The grill on this one is about 5 sizes too big.
The Lucerne has a V8 huh? Is it supposed to replace the Park Avenue Ultra? That's what it sounds like, especially since the Bonneville uses the same engine...would make sense if this is a PAU replacement. This new car has a serious case of Phaeton-butt though.
The Milan actually looks European, though I thought more Seat/Skoda or Renault when I first saw it.
