I've driven a pre-production prototype of the 350Z and I like it. A lot. It's plenty quick enough and handles well. It seems a bit quicker than the S2K, and I recall how Nissan said that they were aiming towards "more mature handling than the S2K" and that's how it felt. It's not an Open Track/Weekend warrior like the S2K and it's a "better" car for it. There is that version of the 350Z which, hopefully, will be very nice.
The interior styling was okay. The materials were good. There is a vibration in the gear shift knob from about 3500 rpm that was a bit surprising.
I don't like the looks of the car, though. It looks like an amalgamation of S2K and Audi TT.

The S gets the drag from the almost vertical windshield it has

I "thought" I noticed a difference but after running....I was shocked. Try it w/and without against a car you are very close with and then post :-)

notwithstanding that, it ABSOLUTELY makes a difference on windy days - no one convince me otherwise of that fact.
at 200 with no hardtop, my car feels like it hit a brick wall - all my high speed runs (250+) have been with the hardtop on......

The 350Z will be the same exact price as the S, around $33K. I saw a price as tested model in a mag for $34k. I can't believe some people still think this car is going to be $26 or $27k. Good car, less passion, IMO.

not sure if this was covered here or not........
a convertible "version" of an exisiting model/car typically add $10K CN/$6K US to the price of the fixed roof version......just some food for thought.
which would put the Z-convertible at approx. what? based on anthony's price of 34for the fixed roof, that would put the vert at $40K.........

Why $34k??
Isn't the Enthusiast model good enough to compete with S2000?

The Enthusiast 6-speed manual is priced at $28,249, while the Enthusiast 5-speed automatic is priced at $29,219. Both include, in addition to the 350Z
