Dear Honda,
Please grow some balls and put a decent motor into this thing. Or just pull the plug entirely on it.
Sincerely,
Everyone

The CR-Z, Crosstour, ZDX, 2nd-gen Insight and 2012 Civic were the collective gasp of Honda hitting rock bottom. Why they persist in devoting the slightest bit of resources to the CR-Z astounds me.

Allegedly coming in 2018: http://www.caranddriver.com/news/201...new-turbo-news
I don't buy the "2-seat hatchbacks/small coupes won't sell" theory. They have in the past. The same demographic (20-somethings who enjoy driving, don't earn enough to buy a "real" sports car, and don't have a family yet) who've bought such cars in large numbers in the past certainly still exists!

Honda has had a lot of misses - the CR-Zzz is certainly one of them. You'd think the company would be abit more interested in improving the products but I think the pain isn't acute enough to really deal with it. Like Unkie said, Honda sells a lot of Civics, Accords and Odysseys, so these low-volume models are probably easier to live with and age out rather than try and fix. Then, just bring a new product to market for the next gen.
The S2000 got ~10 years, the Ridgeline got ~10 years... at this rate, teh CR-Zzz and Crosstour will trundle on for another 5 years before being put to pasture.
