Ya i had it out for a few drives, but since then I washed it, clay bar'd it, and finishing up with a coat of wax before I take it out again. Only have 260 miles from the few times I did have it out. So still trying to break it in. It is rough keeping it under 4k after just buying it. I needa wash/clay bar and wax my s2k next though lol.

I'm glad to hear you're doing that though. I wish more people understood the increased level of maintenance needed with NEW cars. Most casual drivers seem to think new car=unstoppable engine, when in reality there's a very important break-in period...

Congrats on the car, I think you made the right choice!

Nice purchase and great color!

I've really been thinking about replacing our '13 Fit with a new Evo or STi. It sucks not having a fun car anymore, and the Evo and STi offer a good amount of fun and practicality. Really curious to see what little changes the '15 Evo might have.

Nice choice on the car! The difference between the two brands was always the steering feel. I was a Miata guy in college and when I got the full time job and needed 4 doors I opted for the Evo because it felt more precise than the Sti. Now I've got a daily driver WRX wagon and an S2000 but I'd love to upgrade the wagon to an Evo. I just feel bad driving a Japanese car in the salt... They all rust away eventually.

Congrats on the purchase. EVO X is a work of art.

I respect both the STi and EVO and will happily say the EVO X has dominated in performance, until the 2015 STi. I have yet to find more the one documented report of a failed 2015 STi 2015 EJ25.

http://www.iwsti.com/forums/2015-sti...ing-fixed.html

So no, 2015 STi's aren't pooping motors. The fact that Subaru stayed with the EJ25 in the new 2015 STi shows that a multi-billion dollar company has done their homework and knows they have a successful formula. All you people who say Subaru is stupid for not replacing that "dinosaur motor" are idiots. Should the Denver Broncos trade Peyton Manning for Johnny Manziel? Hell no!. Subaru has had over 7 years to refine the EJ25, that is impressive by far. Hell Mitsu did the same thing with the 4g36.

Once people more get a chance to test drive a 2015 STi their jaw will drop. No one can test drive them yet, because they are selling so fast, dealers have them sold before they even hit the dealership floors. If you see someone bashing a 2015 STi its because they are basing their opinion off previous years. Evo fan boys will get their chance to bash the STi in 2015 when mitsu launches their EVO X revision. Until then Subie has done it right and has gone back to their STi 22b roots.

Its actually a great $40k awd/turbo market right now. The EVO X finally has competition where it is now an actual drivers race. Face it guys, we like cars all makes and models, stop being biased on a brandname. Respect the technology and innovation not the bling factor of an emblem.

I'm gonna call BS on that claim. I've seen exactly one since they went on sale, however many months ago.
