^by this point it has gotten a bit confusing, but I think you're missing something here. The US is NOT getting the version that just debuted and has all the first drive links on this page. The US is getting the next generation. I.E. not something that's taken 6 years.

In other words - the CTR will be even more late to the US game. Yay!

I Missed that.

This Type R only runs 0-60 in 5.5 seconds I thought I read.

Hopefully that can be improved!

One of the reviews mentioned "unrelenting understeer" IIRC. I'd make that priority #1 in terms of things to improve. The article made the great point that if the Focus ST can be made to rotate like a rwd car, then the Honda should as well.

Check out the test laps I posted - you're not seeing understeer in them (in general). Most people overdrive cars and will have most of them understeer, quite frankly. Too hot into a corner, then yank the wheel and expect the car to rotate. It's a function of their driving, not the car's handling.

I've made my S2000 and Z4 M coupe understeer heavily at times, and neither are known for being that type of handling car. Why? Overdriving it into corners.

There is a difference between a car being setup to under steer and making a car under steer due to bad driving Jon.

That's what I just said. Did you even read it? I've made "non-understeer" cars understeer heavily, by bad driving, so I would expect the same from lots of others. The difference is, I know why it was understeering but I don't think they do.

A person complaining of "unrelenting understeer" is a direct contradiction to a well-known auto journalist setting fast laps and noting that it's nicely balanced. Personally, I'm inclined to believe the guy that can drive over someone that probably uses the gas and brake as a hammer, not to mention lacks finesse with a steering wheel.

Track test on the same circuit with an RS3 and an M3. On a tight track, prepare to be surprised.

M3 was driven with the nannies off, which I'd argue probably made it slower than it should be. RS3 didn't handle all that well. It's a tight track, with not much room for exploiting big power, so something like an M3 is going to definitely suffer a bit just due to size and mass, if nothing else.
