When is Honda rolling out their new turbo engines? This is exciting news though if the U.S. is really getting the Civic R.

How come no one else is excited about this???!? I was looking into purchasing a fit but if Honda brings the civic hatchback to the U.S., I will definitely wait for it.

Not sure if these two would be cross shopped, but the Focus RS has my attention. Additionally, I'm happy Honda is entering the market, but the idea of a hot turbo 4 pot hatch is nothing new (last model wrx, focus st, previous mazdaspeed3). Also, I remember the Integra Type R days and all the theft/vandalism. I had a turbo 'teg that was victimized. This seems like a probable target for plenty of hater attention and I'm to old to tolerate that again.

Type R is 2.0L turbo with FWD, 4 wheel steering, front limited slip differential, possibly adjustable dampers. Expect 300 hp, give or take.

As a Honda shareholder, I'm excited this car is coming to the US. As a potential purchaser of an automobile, I just can't get too excited about this car. Ten years ago in my early 20s I would have swooned.
Once you go rear, you never go near... Another front wheel drive car. Okay, I was trying too hard on that one. Disregard.

I'm most certainly excited about this! But we're not sure if and when we will see this car in showrooms in North America. It just seems like Honda bringing a Type R back here is a dream.
