Prompted by your comment, I did a bit of searching - seems the early versions of the PDK had liquid cooled clutches, but the gears were just in transmission fluid like a normal gearbox. (There was some discussion that PDKs at the time had just as many overheating issues as manual transmissions, and further discussion whether the "limp mode" due to overheating was the transmission or actually the engine.) Some comments I read said that as of 2011, PDKs have their own oil cooler, and are now of absolutely no concern for track days. I'm not sure about full-on racing, though.
