Damn the Porsche is fast. Acr is still best bang for the buck.
I'd say the C7 Stingray is the bang for buck winner...
why? The acr is a lot faster and not that much more expensive...can pick em up for 70k or so.

I've seen one recently for $99,xxx recently. Show me where I can get a new one for $70K and you might just inspire an impulse purchase.

new? i was saying the 2008 ACR is the best bang for the buck if you are talking track cars....or that's what i meant anyway

ok. 2008 acrs not 2010's with a few miles. there are some almost new ones that cost a lot more.
There just aren't that many of them
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dodge-Viper-...US_Cars_Trucks
could probably get that one for 75-76 if you negotiated with them.

that's from a dealer. if mine was for sale Private party i would ask 75k for it and it has 20k miles
exactly what i paid for it 4 years ago....

I didn't even mention the Z/28 because I don't believe it

What a track slut! I can't remember if those dampers are easily adjusted for compression and rebound or not but I believe they are. must have been dialed in before the laps or something. the advantages of being able to corner at 1.04Gs consistently.. .

and those damn Pirelli P Zero R’s with their 60 tread-wear rating! It is still impressive all things considered.

Very true. One thing I truely hate about all these back to back tests is the glaring tire variable.

Going from a Micheline Pilot Super sports or worse, to an all out race tire is easily 4 seconds on that big of track.

I get it though, Factory package.. . but but but.. . I guess we just have to deal with it.

So the 918 was everything I expected and like the C&D says it turns laps like an LMP car. For me, the big surprise was the Z/28. 135mph through the climbing esses is astounding. I went through that section of VIR in my Boss 302 at about 95mph and it was pants filling.

60K for a car that turns laps with a 911 Turbo and an F12? There's your bang for you buck.
