2014 Camaro Z28

Couldn't agree more... I can't for the life of me see why anyone would go with the Z/28 when you have the C7 package available and for cheaper. The money saved could be spent on mods for the C7 and I'm sure you could make it as fast if not faster and still come out ahead on what you'd spend for a new Z/28. I have a feeling these Z/28's are going to be sitting on dealer lots and we'll hear stories about how Chevy was forced to mark them down just to move them.

E92 M3, 3595 lb. curb weight, presumably with fuel?

For $75K, you should be able to get a C7 Z06, not just a Z51, which would make this decision even easier....

60k for an outdated old chasis camaro?
No thanks,
I will take a lotus and a 2 year supply of tires/gas/consumables.
people who buy this car unknowingly will soon realize that the consumables (i.e. 305 semi slick tires ) are expensive and end up ditching them

Instead of thinking of it as a 75K Camaro, think of it as a 1/2 priced GT3 or GT-R at a 25% discount. When you consider the Z06 engine is 10K and ceramic brakes are 6K or more, it doesn't seem that expensive.
However, were it my money and I had to have a Camaro, I'd get a 1LE and mod it.

Anytime you run a 18"+ rims, you add cost. anything over 275s just gets crazy. Any floating rotor adds cost. Once you get into cars of this caliber, you've already committed to double the operating costs of a sensible track car.
it's highly likely that under 5% of the people that buy this car will take it to a roadcourse more than once.
This is a working mans mullet trimmer. I don't even know what that means but it sounds good. It's a status symbol. More Oil money kids will buy this car than bankers. The other people that buy cars like these are people that put twin turbos on a vette or viper or go to the dragstrip monthly. They probably already own a camaro of some sort. They're probably the type of people that will wear out the factory tire and put something on it that costs 1/2 as a much with 2/3 of the performance.. . Most will get it with AC.. . some will say "Can your Honda do this" and then burn the clutch to death
For 75K, I'm buying a built E46M3 track car and truck and trailer.. . Then passing this car on the track every 5-8 laps.. .

Like the idea, hate the price, hate the interior, hate the aging exterior even more.
The Camaro looks like a dinosaur next to a similar priced Vette(c7 or ZO6)
I will predict the car will be highly sought after in 40 years due to the very limited sales….

4,000 in 2 years (maybe) http://www.edmunds.com/car-reviews/f...irst-ride.html
The first one goes on auction at the Barret Jackson Scottsdale event. As well as the first 2015 Mustang GT.
Maybe this is GM going out with a bang on this Chasis? 2016 being the last year? Sounds about right
Ride height sensors. Sheesh. They let people go full nerd on this car so it'd lap the ring well. 7:37. well done.
