Default 2013 NISMO 370Z. Thoughts?

I'm definitely not looking at buying one for myself, but I saw a black 2013 (at least I think it was a 2013) Nismo 370Z on the road the other day and thought it looked really, really good. I was never a great big fan of the 350Z. I drove one a few times 4-5 years ago and was not terribly impressed with the performance or the looks. The only thing I liked was the exhaust note. I have not driven a new 370Z, though I think it looks a lot better than the 350Z, and I know from internet and mag reviews that it is a much better sports car. I didn't even know Nismo was putting out a factory tuned version, and when I saw this one on the road I thought some dude with a regular 370Z just threw on a kit and some badging. It wasn't until I looked it up that I found out it had a slight performance bump.

I'll have to admit, the car looks great in person from the exterior view. Has anyone here driven one? Does the performance back up the looks?

On a side note, oddly enough, the only car that has ever revved on me in my IS-F has been a 370Z. It took me no time to walk on him up to about 10 over the speed limit... and if I wanted to be reckless and engage in a "real" run, I would have probably put a few buses on him. The car looked good though.

The biggest improvement of the 370Z over the 350Z is the interior. If you didn't like the way a 350Z drove, you probably won't like the 370Z either. Most of the other negatives are the same (shifter feel, diff, lack of suspension alignment, etc). I do think the Nismo version of the 370Z looks much better than the base, which is the opposite of how I feel about the 350Z versions. The wheels are really nice and the few I have seen in person really caught my attention. I'd be looking at 09 for about $30k though, that is about as much as I would pay for it. They seem to be going up in price quite a bit each new model year.

I think the nismo 370 looks much better. A friend of mine has a nismo 370z w/ all the track necessities for that car, he is insane with that car. He keeps up with some of lambos and lotuses in our car group. He's also an instructor tho.

These have been out for years? Wow, that was the first one that I've ever seen.

Yep. This the kind I would look for, 09 with 11,000 miles for $28k until he finally just traded it in:

Yep, that's just like the one I saw. Well, my title is all wrong, because I just assumed the car I saw had to be a 2013 b/c I thought it was something brand new. It could have been a 2009 or pretty much any year since then. I think the car looks great.

Most s2k owners will bash the car.

On the surface, it's just a "newer" 350z. Underneath, quite a few changes were made.

Quite simply, it's a great value for performance, and a S2k has no chance against one, whether its in a straight line or around a corner.

I think I prefer the look of the stock 370z over the Nismo. That front bumper just looks wrong to me.

Oh boy, now you've gone and done it. How dare you.

Que the fat bloated pig, engine overheating, brake fading, overpriced comments.
