2013 bmw 335i m sport revew
So to start off I am a older S2000 owner. I have owned 27 cars to date and do not buy automatics unless it's the only way to get a car.
This is about my 2013 Estoril Blue 335i m sport sedan, optioned nicely and with a 6 speed manual. average mpg is about 25. Worst is about 22 and best is over 31.
Problems: never left me stranded, but 4 times in the first 14,000 miles it cut out to "limp mode" and i needed to pull over and restart the engine. Bmw and two dealers found no fault, sure there were codes, but no fix, never admitted on the corporate level that i had a problem...eventually after a few re-flashes and days at a dealer it just never happened again. When you push a button it does not always work, yes, you need to push that button twice sometimes....I have no idea! The car had no other problems, nothing, nada, just like a Honda.
Nice: comfy, good on trips or even in traffic, nice clutch take up, even nicer gearbox if you like bmw gearboxes. Great brakes all the time. Handles well....except it is floaty....I have the multiple position dampers and the suspension is too damn soft and floaty. the steering is electric and too many choices you won't use in the adjustment. I don't mind the way it steers. The engine is superb, always, I mean always, plenty of power and torque to about 300 rpm short of redline, nice sound too.
Nice ride on trips, I usually drive in Sport mode. Interior stuff, well it's not the best bmw and not the worst. It has plenty of features, 3 d backup camera, lots of nannys that beep when you come close to something but don't rely on them cause by the time you hear the beep it's too close. I turn most of those things off.
nice seats, average quality leather if it really is all leather? plenty of adjustments. Good back seat for adults, nice fold down option. All the windows go up and down all the way, some cars the rears only part of the way. it has a hard drive for music, i had the stock stereo. i love the color of the car, this blue is great . Oh, you can burn rubber all over the place and get 2nd gear scratch (I am old school).
M sport: its got some trim pieces that say M, M wheels, M steering wheel, 4 way setting for engine, steering, suspension, the eco mode it a joke. flaps in the mufflers, some exterior front and rear pieces are unique to the trim level. this m sport stuff is a trim level. Short throw factor shifter and m knob that does not light up. This is not a M3, just between the standard luxury model of the 3 series and the M3. The color is an M sport exclusive.
Resale: sucks. i think my car which is on a lease and flawless....28000-29000 miles, 3 years old nicely optioned, but a manual gearbox...less than 10%of them are... has lost close to $19,000 in three years. I could be off a bit but not much. Better to lease this car than own.
Free maintenance: that's factory recommend maintenance to you buddy. Not the run flats, it comes with them and they are not warranted for bulges and are expensive. Two oil changes, third not due till 45,000 miles! I had to beg a dealer to do the first change at 9,000. I had to add one quart on the break in. One set of new wipers, one cabin filter, that's it!!! and of course a loaner car. And a couple of tires.
All in all I am glad I had this car, it's great to look at, smells good inside, and is fast enough for daily driving.
I am to turn it in tomorrow...and in a couple of weeks will get my 2016 Yas Marine Blue M3,stay tuned!

I've gotten F30s as loaner cars several times when taking my E92 in for service and outside of the tech (Mostly the HUD) I've never really cared for them. The steering feels numb compared to the E9x and although the N55 is a strong engine it just feels lacking compared to the N54. Both require a fair bit of TLC and like to eat consumables (plugs, coils, injectors, etc) but the trade off is worth it IMO. I seriously considered the F80 M4 but couldn't justify replacing my paid for 335 (FBO w/ RBs, Inlets, outlets, etc. and 600 RWHP) with an $80K M car. The values especially on the sedans has taken a pretty big hit in the last couple of years but you can still get a solid number for a well sorted and well cared for car especially since yours is a manual.

I love sentences like "never left me stranded, but four times." I'd set any of my cars on fire if they left me stranded four times. Haha.

2015 435i M-Sport here. JB4, downpipe, car is a beast. Ditched the run-flats for MPSS right after our first bulge.
2 limp modes in 18K miles (restart cleared them) , one on track, one commuting but that could have been the JB4 too.
My complaint with the new 3/4 series BMWs is that routine maintenance isn't as user friendly like the S2000 is.
Enjoy that M, I've driven my brothers M4 and they are a WHOLE nother level of nutty.

2010 E82 135i with N54--that's the twin turbo--for those who don't speak BMW engine codes. Tune, intake and intercooler. A beast with all the torques. It doesn't look like much of a car but it is seriously quick. I'm thinking about suspension upgrades--rear subframe bushings, M3 front control arms, maybe Koni. If I had it to do again I would have done those first or maybe just done the tune which is more than enough power. Not sure I want to put more money into it. I just enjoy my S2000 so much more. In good weather its the daily driver.
Reliability after 15,000 miles has been ok.
Bimmers are great if you need 4 seats. I'd much rather be in a light sports car.

2010s were twin turbo (N54). 2011s+ were single turbo, twin scroll (N55).

I guess that'll teach you to do your homework before you post.
