Funny that they decided to show the automatic vs manual version. Sure, thanks to the improvements in autos (DSG etc) they are far more likable but really, am I alone in thinking that 3 pedals and a stick shift just makes pictures of the car more appealing. Even if the auto is reality the manual is still for me, the version with the emotional appeal.

I couldn't see the difference until I put two pics side by side. I love 911s, but new models just aren't that exciting.

Maybe it's marketing driven. I suspect they sell more autos than manuals in the 911.

It blows my mind that Honda hardly ever makes a sports car but that when they do they're hardcore enough to only limit it's transmission choice to manual. See: Civic Si, Integra GS-R (and Type R) and S2000. Whereas Porsche offers than auto for everything

^ That's because Honda doesn't make any good Auto transmissions. From a performance standpoint PDK>MT and conventional AT<Everything else...
