Default "2012 GT-R is now complete"

http://www.insideline.com/nissan/gt-r/2012...irst-drive.html

Past GT-Rs have come across as remote and almost aloof devices, keen to exclude the driver from the action and relegate him to a directing role, but with this car we felt much more part of it, a talent that may or may not make it a quicker sports car. And being an involving driving machine makes it substantially superior to its parent.

The real achievement of this new GT-R is not that it has been made faster but that it is now both easier to drive and more entertaining. In short, the one missing piece of the puzzle, let's call it the human factor, has been found and added. The 2012 Nissan GT-R is, at last, complete.

If it doesn't have 3 pedals, then it's nowhere close to having the "human factor".

I like how "at least 40HP" was said a couple of times. I would figure that means _more_. It'll probably wind up being something like 528.

Can't say I like that they followed the LED trend, but I do like the slightly revised rear. The carbon interior bits look good (I'm ASSuming that at $85K, it's real CF vs. Hydro-something or a sticker...)

I've been seeing some GT-Rs trickling down into the low 60's (even Premium models). I imagine another 6-12 months and a little push from the revised models, we'll see some low mileage examples in the mid [mid-upper]-50's.

I have a strange outlook on this car - I kind of dislike it and love it at the same time.

I would never buy this car second hand but for the money new.. its hard not to seriously consider it if you're in the market for a performance car. It is simply amazing.

As far as the update goes... All I see in that new front bumper is Pontiacs "ribbed for her pleasure" molding and cheesy look-at-me LEDs. Meh.

That's because evolution is a myth. It was magicked out of thin air by a bearded Asian man who lives in the floating Nissan HQ in the sky.
