I want one.

Also, I can't help but snicker at the people who call this car a pig just because it's heavier than the old one. Power:weight is what really matters especially when we're STILL talking about a car that's under 2500 lbs.
Power-weight only matters when you're accelerating. For braking & cornering, weight is still more important.
but it's still sub 2500 lb. I'm sorry but thats still going to be an amazing handling car.

^^^ I'm not arguing it won't handle well, just saying that weight is a much more multi-dimensional indicator of overall performance than power to weight. Looks like an appealing track car to me!

I am in no way arguing that weight is not the single most important factor in a sports/race car, because I think that it is, but look at a GTR. It weighs nearly 2 tons and still stops and corners with the absolute best. If weight goes up you just need to make tire size go up to match. In the case of the Lotus I too wish that they could have pulled off the same weight at this power level, but If in a few years I am in the market for a used one I will not let the fact that it has gained enough weight to put it in Miata territory scare me off. I just hope that at least some of the weight gained is in making a stronger transmission than what came in previous exige models.

... and it's 1300lbs lighter than the M3 in your signature (which is supposedly a handling god). I fail to see what the commotion is - especially since practically no one in this thread has ever driven a Lotus before, moreover this Lotus.

i drive a 08 lotus elise sc on a weekly basis almost

that being said i don't think the slight weight gain is a big deal. Knowing lotus they will still make this car handle like a dream.
