Oh and let's use an updated interior for Audi (A4). That one's an A6 thats almost 6 years old is up for an all new design next year.

I thought that A6 generation went to 06. Besides it competes with the 5 series so it should look pretty decent. Is that A4 interior from 06? Maybe it's just Audi has incredible interiors then exteriors that look dated after 5 years.

Why are you using an example of a 5 series that's 5 years old when this thread is about a brand new 3 series?

Since we're talking about M3's and not 3 series, I figure I'd supply some pics to replace the generic 3 series one that was posted. M3 has nicer seats, steering wheel, speakers, leather grade, etc.

Maybe I've drank too much of the coolaid, but I don't see what the bitching is all about. The seats are super comfy, really nice leather, etc.

I'm saying the A6 competes with the 5, not the three, so it should look nicer than a similar year 3 series.

Chris, I personally think its the "styling" of the interior that they are showing contempt for. It is not the quality because it is there IMO. Its not arguable IMO. They dont like how dark and cold it is. They dislike it so much its easy for them to say its crappy. Its simply not as pretty as its competitors. I'm completely fine with that. If you take a look around you would probably see that I'm not alone. I wouldn't agree with the Apple analogy in its entirety. Apple makes some very pretty and impressive hardware.

I really like the M Sport seats, but in general the 3 series interior is a bit austere, & cold. The Audi's have much better, more articulated interiors.

Or just get a Droid.

A lot of people don't like the interior styling of Bimmers because it looks somewhat simple and not as elegant as say an Audi. But it's supposed to be really functional and easy to use/look at. Except for iDrive. That is still a pain.
