I'd imagine that 75% of the people that buy minivans don't need them.
Probably more accurate for SUV buyers.

+1

People don't buy a minivan unless they really need it. Why? SUVs are so much more popular/cool/macho/insert your dumb reason here. Never mind that minivans are more fuel and space efficient that pretty much any SUV on the planet.

I like the comments from many of the (presumably young) guys on here who swear they will never ever have a minivan and wonder how anyone could ever agree to own one.

I'd bet a small amount of money that there's a larger chance of their owning minivans in the future than there is of their owning most of the exotics discussed on here. Times change, people fall in love and have babies, and get real practical real fast.
LOL, well said. Frankly, I think I'd rather have a minivan these days than an SUV for toting around kids. I guess I'm kinda anti-hip/cool whatever you want to call it. The majority of people out there that simply get an SUV rather than a minivan to take their family around for the sole reason that a minivan isn't "cool" have SDS (small dick syndrome), and there are a lot of those people out there.

I always told myself I'd never have enough kids to warrant/need a minivan, but times do change..

when is Honda going to offer a AWD van? Toyota has done it for years.

Just wondering.

If I look for opinions on minivan, I wouldn't look for it here on s2ki. To be honest, if I have 2 more kids, the Odyssey would be my van of choice. Contrary to most posters here, I kinda like the line/rear.

Closest I ever came to a mini-van was a CR-V and for me that was close enough
