I think it's odd that Honda keeps featuring the silver one when the darker colors (like the garnet or whatever it is in the video) look so much better, and reduce the awkwardness of the rear side view. I know silver shows the features more distinctly, but in this case I'm not sure that's a bonus.

I have no doubt that it will kick ass by minivan standards but good GOD that thing looks weird.
It looks like it is about to transform into something.

Btw - Why aren't doing something like a 4 cyl hybrid version to try to get better MPG?
I'm still waiting for a diesel V6 to come out in a mid-size SUV or minivan. A guy I know up here in Alberta (I'm on vacation) has a diesel MB utility van and it gets about 26 mpg when he's taking it easy and he has nine (!!!) kids in it.

looks better in video and will likely sell a lot. i'm assuming folks buying suvs and minivans are more concerned about utililty and reliability as their priority. we did when we bought our pilot to accomodate 2 kids. cross shopped highlander and cx9 but roominess and honda reliability won over the other sleeker looking suvs.

I guess I have to balance some of the senseless bashing from people (look in the mirror) that will never buy these cars or, in many cases, any car. That and those that can only yell "Honda is sinking" while not buying any of the cars that are supposedly better.
These newer Honda designs are awful and they are even screwing up the Accord these days. They really need to fire their designers and realize that they need at least one performance vehicle in the lineup. Comparing them to Japanese only mfr's, Nissan makes some performance orientated machines, Subaru as well, Mitsu as well, hell even Toyota had the balls to bring their $350k supercar to the market. What is Honda doing? Nothing performance related and they are even screwing up their money makers now. The CRZ, the Crosstour, now this thing.
