Is this guy serious? Maybe Honda should stop making the Civic and Ford should stop making the F-150 too.
The Scirocco, underneath the sheet metal, is the same car as the Golf, costs extremely similar to the Golf, yet isn't a bloated looking box like the Golf. The Civic and F150 have no such close relation in their own product lines, so your comment is invalid. VW, on the other hand, could rid the world of an ugly car, as it has an identical, yet not ugly replacement that's being sold right along side of it.

Very serious. What is the similarity in Honda or Ford stopping the Civic or F150?

I'm sorry you didn't get my analogy regarding the Civic and F-150, I mentioned them because they are the bread and butter of their respective companies as the Golf is. If you didn't get that then you must be too busy trying to win an argument to understand logic.

Alright, lets discontinue the best selling car in Europe and 2009 world car of the year just because you think it's ugly.

^ They don't make the Scirocco in a four-door, do they?

I think it's sad that they only upped the HP by 10HP...They are starting to go NSX-S2000 on the GTI.
I mean come on how hard could it be to add 30-40HP from that 2.0T engine?

correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard the U.S. version doesn't even get the 10hp bump...
