2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS vs. 2009 Dodge Challenger

The Mustang did perform better than expected. Overall the Camaro is the car I'd want, but I'd seriously consider the Mustang GT Track package if I were in the market for that kind of car.

Ford is supposed to be finishing up work on a 5 liter V8, called the Coyote, to replace the current 4.6 in the 2010 Mustang. It should have around 400 horsepower for similar money and get better mileage. That should make things a little more interesting.

I like the new 2010 Mustang with the revised sheet metal/interior.
That slight touch in details are pretty impressive.
Also, the more I look at the 2010 Camaro, the more I like it.
We've had a yellow Camaro SS in our office for about a week, and man that thing looked nice.

Really like the Camaro. Wish it could weigh a little less, but.......
There is a dealer installed supercharger option on the Mustang that is supposed to kick it up to about 400 h.p., but I have no idea what it costs. Probably be closer to the SRT8 at that point.

None are my type of car, but if I had to take one it would be the Mustang. Its lighter, performs very well, and I like its looks the best even though it is the most dated design. The Challenger and Camaro look like big cartoon cars to me.

I'd take the Camaro without hesitation.
The Challenger's a beautiful car, but it just doesn't quite have the performance of the Camaro, and the Camaro and Challenger look similar enough that it really comes down to performance. The Mustang's very "Meh" to me. Mustangs are a dime a dozen and then some, and the other two are actually rare. Plus I've never been a big Ford fan.

The Challenger does look the business though, they did a great job on the body of the car, I love the looks of it. I wouldn't buy any of these for a canyon carver, it'd be more of a weekend car to cruise around in and race from stoplights.
