Thanks for the HFN link, but I still don't "get" it (how it change ratios and gets lock-up).

Someone who doesn't want a shift pedal has a bajillion scooters to choose from at a fraction of this price. Also, if you want a "real bike" the FJR1300 offers an electric shift option.

The DN-01 is an EXCELLENT argument for the Aprilia Mana.

Full auto, can also operate as a semi-auto 7speed, less than $10k.

Or you can get a Burgman 650 for under $9k.

^^^ I'd take a Mana if I didn't want to shift, or a Can-Am Spyder if I also didn't want to balance. The Mana can fit a helmet under what looks like the gas tank, way cool.

I predict that the Honda will be easy to get for $5K+ off. Has some neat ideas, but it just doesn't come together as a compelling ride to me.

Got to see it in person at the EAA Air Venture yesterday in the Honda booth. It was getting attention from booth traffic. To me, it looked like a very large scooter.

I much prefer this new ride from Honda:

Truly hideous. Looks like a Gold Wing-scooter mutant abortion.
