like people above.... i am not sure I would even notice any difference if someone didn't say this was a facelift.... doh!

vw on steriods... woot.

i find it ironic "lazy facelift" comments are coming from dudes who drive ap1 and 2.
so was this a good facelift?

When I first saw the AP2 I immediately knew the AP1 was for me . It looked like tacky boy racer add ons to me instead of the clean classy look of the original!
Then if that was not enough I found out there was no more 9000 rpm screamer under the hood.

Dramatic facelift indeed.
I've had quite a few people act like I was crazy when I said every single Porsche looks exactly the same. Thank god you guys seem to share my sentiments. It's a more aerodynamic version of a 1938 VW beetle, for the 71st time, in a row!

It really needed the extra hp. Porsche is rapidly falling behind it's competitors, and barely staying ahead of the low end (relatively speaking) american & japanese sports cars (370Z = 330 hp, Mustangs at 315hp). If I was Porsche, just drop the 3.6, and go all 3.8L.
