so you want to be one of those who buys 10 year old cars because you can not afford it when it was new. not a daily driver? don't see people buying the g37 for a weekend car.

You never did address my primary argument. How do any of those actually compare to the G35? Yeah, they're more fun...but more practical, as many creature comforts, etc as a G35? No. And this is what most people in the market for a $35k car as their main vehicle are looking for. The new G35/37 will do just fine.

Looks nice. I don't care for big coupes, though. I don't see the point. Get a sedan for the size and weight so at least you have some utility (or, better yet, get a wagon...but I digress). That being said, it would be nice if they would offer the G37 hardware on the sedan, especially since the new G35 hasn't been able to keep up with the 335i and IS350 from what I've read. BUT, I have driven the '07 G35 6MT, and it is a pretty unrefined piece. The motor doesn't sound or feel great, and there is a lot of vibration coming up through the shifter and pedals. I wonder whether the bigger 3.7 will be worse in these respects... The 335i, on the other hand, is just in another league as far as refinement and overall execution are concerned.

I was being oo'ed and aww'ed by the specs of the brakes drivetrain etc...till I saw the weight. Nearly 3700 lbs?? As if the old G35 didnt already feel heavy enough, they had to add even more weight to it.
