65k$? haha. That's 38k 6 months later right?
I wish....

I would never buy this as a daily driver...

But as a 3rd or 4th car... totally!

In our family, the vehicles outnumber the adults almost 2:1....

I would take a used Exige S for $40k in 2 years.

Btw, regarding quality issues - The main issues I have heard about are the shifter and the clutch. I have a friend with 100 track wknds on his elise. His 2nd clutch went out last wknd at the track. 1st clutch lasted 17k miles, 2nd clutch - 14k miles. Again - this is his track car and a DD or cruiser. The shifter is know to be flimsy and vague.

Shifter is crappy on my friend's '07 Exige S as well.
Phenomenal handling, good acceleration, good braking.
For those saying it's bad for a DD, don't even comment if you're considering this car as a DD.
It's pure, hardcore track car.
Pic is the loaner he got from the dealer while he was waiting for his white Exige S.

So can anybody tell me why they're not using the K20 yet instead?

Maybe because they cost more?
I've heard that there was a guy who did a K20 conversion.
