Default 2008.5 Mazdaspeed3

08 MS3 Sport in Crystal White. Just got it tonight and it's fast. I can't believe you can get this much hp and torque for the price of the car($21K). Daytime pics tomorrow.

side moldings removed

Acceleration (Ward 2008 Top Ten engines)
Interior/exterior quality.
Seats front and rear. Rear quite roomy.
Comfortable quiet ride even at freeway speeds.
Exhaust burble and note.
Turbo and stock bpv noise.
Torque. Pulls easily with 4 people inside.
Easy to drive.
Cheap to mod: Cobb SRI @ $175 results in + 11 HP and + 16 lb. ft. gain.
Steering input
Brakes

Needs improvement:

Torque steer even though ECU limits power during 1st and 2nd gears. ECU also limits power when it detects steering wheel is turned.
Understeer but still tossable.
Not as precise as S2K.
Powerband between 3-6k, dies off after that.

Nice car! My boss just got one as a DD as well and it's very nice. It's surprising how big and rumbly that exhaust is for a stock exhaust.

Nice! I was looking at a Metropolitan Gray MS3 a while back... great car and great bang for the buck, although the upcoming 09 WRX may give it a run for its money.

I didn't know they made it in white! The last time I was on their site white wasn't available and that was a major turn off! lol.

I just saw one last week and it had a loud aftermarket BOV on it. I pointed and laughed as he drove by.

Sure, the performance is nice, but there's just no need for all that noise.

Welcome to the club!

08 SS MS3 here.

Now go get yourself an intake, and maybe exhaust with AP tuner and giggle even more uncontrollably with the extra hp/tq.

Just intake has biiig yields in itself.

Note: the seats in the 2008.5 (which the OP has) are Alcantra. Leather+Alcantra if you go with the GT (which I have).
