The new generation of VW makes me vomit, they ruined the look of all of their models in my opinion. I would take a 300 hp R32/R36, what have you, over an EVO and STI. The interior of the VW puts the others to shame, but they have to go back to the MKIV exterior. I love hatchbacks too, I had a MKIV GTI 1.8T before my S2K. It was an all around great car inside and out and fun to drive, but when the deal I got on my S came around I couldn't pass it up.

That is hot for sure. I wasn't so hot on the new Golf before, but now I definitely am. The proportions in the styling kinda make it look like a fat Polo. It will be a great track car for sure.

Any word on price though? I'm guessing, with VW prices seemingly on a constant uptick, will be in the high 30s.

No word on pricing, but I'd imagine mid 30's.. I'm liking the silver 5-door the more I look at it. With their high beltline these cars are sure to look better in person. Add suspension and wheels, and it'll be hot..

Wow, I like it a lot. I'd still go for the STi, but wouldn't kick this one out of the garage.

the r32 was a pig and was expensive. fix both and you'll have a winner.

if the mini awd comes out this r36 wont sell at all.

I agree. With good options, that thing will prolly be pushing 40K. Even 33K is too much IMO. I must admit its not my cup of tea. I like some hatchies, but this one doesn't do anything for me, especially for the pricepoint that it'll prolly have.
