2007 Toyota Tundra Released
Autoweek Link to Tundra Pics
New 5.7L V8 producing over 300 HP mated to a 6 speed auto, I'd guess somewhere near 330HP.
Towing capacity more than 10,000 pounds.
Bottom line, the thing is huge, definitely no longer the 7/8ths scale truck the Tundra once was.
Now they need to add a heavy duty line, and a diesel engine option.

Competition is heating up even more. I'll be in the market for another truck in about two years, and being a fan of the GM trucks, I'll try to be objective. It's good that GM is releasing their 900 series new pickups later this year as it looks like they'll need the help to compete against the new Toyota line.

isn't this kind of ugly? that black piece between the front and back doors throws it off?? and that really thick door frame on the back door.... makes the back window seem really goofy.

looks promising but if its anything like the current Tundra... IT's TRASH!!! i sold my Tundra DoubleCab Limited 4x4 in just 6 months because it was running like POO! I would never buy another Toyota truck again I swore... but then I gave in and bought the Xrunner and was totally disappointed again and sold it. Toyota's just aren't what they used to be, I do have to say I went back to driving my dad's 1981 22R powered toyota pu for my truck needs. With over 265k miles, its still runs strong and yet to have any issues.

Exterior is okay, in some ways quite interesting. Interior is disgusting. The GM and Ford full size pickup trucks seem to have better interiors than their Toyota/Nissan competitors.

I'll have to pass this on to my dad. He's got an '02 right now, and has been waiting for this thing to come out. I think it looks like a step in the right direction. More size, more power, more everything. Not too bad.
