Default 2007 Skyline GT-R

It's official.. Yeah, I know it has been specualtion but I just read the Road & Track (Speed) edition this morning and it's coming in 2007. Nissan Pres. said they scrapped the Infiniti V8 possibility for a twin turbo V6 based on the current V6 used in their lineup. They said it will be good for at least 400 HP but hopefully more like 450-500HP. That's my wish though. They didn't say anything about it being an Infiniti either. Hopfully it will retain it's Nissan badge. Anyway, may be old news but it's the most current credible info I have read on the car. Looks like it's time to start saving. I may forget the new NSx and go for the Skyline???

Did they say it's coming here? I assume so since you didn't specify.

Twin-turbo V6? No problem with that, but one of the defining parts of the Skyline was the 2.6 liter straight-6. A twin-turbo V6 Skyline will basically be a different, faster 350Z.

Don't get me wrong, the VQ is a great engine. But that seems to be Nissan's only engine other than the 2.5 I4 and the V8.

I heard this news a while ago too!! Very good news! I just hope they keep the price at a reasonable figure.

Did they have any pics? The last prototype was scrapped from what I've read.
