Bottom line, this car will haul a$$. But in a striaght line more then a curve
Either way, its still going to be one of the better American sports cars

Fast, but not as fast as 475HP would be in a decently light package.

[QUOTE=PedalFaster,Jan 9 2006, 03:40 PM] Has anyone on this thread said either of those things?
Question -- if heavy, live-axle cars kick so much ass in corners, why can 140 hp Miatas run circles around them in autocrosses?

right from the press release.....
WEIGHTS AND CAPACITIES (pounds unless otherwise noted)
Curb weight, pounds
Coupe ~3,920 pounds
Convertible ~4,040 pounds
Weight distribution (f/r) 57/43
[QUOTE=brockLT1,Jan 10 2006, 01:07 PM]weight is bad but we dont have any hardcore numbers on the cobra so everyone should stop throwing around the 4000lb idea.

I own a 2003 Cobra Mustang Convertible, so i am all for mustangs, but there is a huge difference in driving/ braking / steering between it and an evo or s2000.....
I do love the horsepower though...i have hit 144mph (top of 4th) about a zillion times....
