It doesn't have to look like the old CRX any more than the new Civic Si has to look like the old Civic Si. IMO, the answer is no the new Civic Si wouldn't be the new CRX because the CRX line was always smaller than the regular Civic line. It's simple really, it all boils down to the new Civic Si being to large to be the new CRX.

I would also hope that the new Civic Si doesn't perform like the old CRX. It should be better than a car that's at least 14 or 15 years old and may be over 20 years old.
