Mmmmmm...Boxster S. I LOVE this car now. I think it's gonna have to be my next sports car. But, by the time I'm looking to purchase, it will probably be 3.6L with 330+ h.p. That would be even better. A 3.0L base (with 270ish h.p.) and 3.6L S would be perfection.

Great. They're now as powerful as a ten year old NSX that has .2L less displacement. They're also $20K cheaper, which is what the NSX should've been (and about where it started)...
Sorry, I had to throw that in there. This is actually the car (well, the Cayman is, I guess) that is the "replacement" for the NSX as far as I can tell. A Boxster S seems to be about the perfect sports car that's moderately affordable - drop top, refined, powerful, moderately quick, great handling, decent looking, and apparently reliable. Me wants one.

Smart move by Porsche, they prolly save costs by condensing their produciton line, yet can charge more money.
All they hype about the Cayman being a seperate model, they really are the best Marketing company in the world. They do make good cars too.

That's just another masterpiece that Porsche marketing depatment came up with to discern Cayman from Boxster. To fully use the quoted 4 sq. ft add'l storage space, the stuff would have to be piled up and block the view to rear windshield. Boxster also has that storage space (or 90% of it) when top is up, but it is not counted. Even when top is down, there's still a cubby hole in that space for storage - again, not counted. Storage is so plentiful in either car so it is kind of moot...

Boxter = Poor mans's Porsche
I'm not a big Porsche fan but I still have a lot of respect for the Boxster/Cayman S. And if you talk about pricing, there is no such thing as a poor man's Porsche.
