See the 03 Z interior was DISGUSTING it was some super shitty plastic. The interior of the new 07 feels very inviting and warm and the materials are much much nicer. It is hard but has a squishy soft outer crust to the doors and center consle and main dash. But the upper dash is still crappy material lol. The seats are a nicer feel to them.

Yea but Honda added 7 lbs of Tq 4 years ago! Take That Nissan!

Honda truly is the worlds laziest sports car maker.
also zero increase in HP. they added displacement but zero hp and drop the redline.

honda needs to get out of the sports car busniess. Keep marking it GREENER.

Wow, this thread has gotten really stupid. At this point it NEEDS MORE OWLS FO SHO!!! There is no saving this one. When we starting comparing cars to 'feral tigers' (as opposed to all the tame ones running around. Ask Roy about tame tigers) or Michael Jordan you know the thread has taken a wrong turn never to return.

I disagree. Honda really does know how to make great sports cars. I don't actually care if they keep up. Normally, if you buy one withhin the first 0-3 years of it's production it's very competitive for another 2-5 years. So you keep it for some amount of time and then sell it as everyone passes it and then in 5-10 yrs or so when they create a new one you buy it!!

While, my evo is a faster car it has made me appreciate just how good the overall package of the S2000 was/is (I have only driven an AP1). It's a very nice handling car.

it is 305, but it;s under the new SAE standards. The new engine has a ton of new parts, I think something like 70% of it is new or altered. They upped the redline and the tranny problem is suppose to be non-existant since the 05 model. Aside from that and the hood bulge, same car, but should give us a run for our money considering all the parts available for it as well.
It's a great car, and if you find the right motivated dealer, getting into a new one isn't too hard, had to say it got me tempted for a bit... then a sunny cool day came around.

This is very correct. IT is 306HP under the new SAE rating (which is about 313-318ish under the old rating system). IT ias 80% new parts, but the issues is no older performance parts fit... Atleast that I have heard of yet.

I did not have a problem finding a dealer to get me a awesome deal. Got a Touring (2nd highest model, didnt want or need GT) for 32.5 that's with everything but nav. I was happy and didnt have to argue or haggle much at all.

On a side note, as somebody said about about there evo. My STI is my true 'fast car' Its my main car I mod and it is a fun car, it is far faster then either my old 03 Z, my S2k and my new Z. But in the end it makes me happy I have the other 2 =)

I see the difference as the S2000 is a scalpel and the Z is a steak knife. The Vette by the way is a machete.
