And once again, you can't be happy about the fact that the displacement was increased without increase in HP.
Who cares about hp/L ratings? Does it enhance your ego to tell your friends how your car makes 240 hp/L? The 2.2L has a much wider powerband, w/ more usable power across the majority of it. I suspect it is faster for more drivers w/ less than expert skill.

Honda could prob. increase the performance, but then the price would go up as well and people would complain about that. Blame the competition...Honda has very little in it's price bracket, which doesn't inspire huge continued engineering developments, esp. given the low sales volumes.

You have some good points there, and I'll admit after reading other people opinions, I feel less hostile towards the upgrades on the S. By the way it's 120 HP/Lit. not 240. And yes I do care abou the HP/Lit. I think it was a HUGE accomplishment for Honda, and it will be a mark in automotive History. Definitely a stofy to tell the grandkids. LOL.

DOH! I knew it was 120! Owning many sportbikes, 120hp/L isn't a huge deal to mean...it's just an overgrown sportbike engine. I'd be concerned it the engine gained weight in growing to 2.2L w/o the relative power increase, but since it didn't the added tq. is almost a "free" benefit w/ no downside other than the loss of 1K rpm in the redline.

Can anyone confirm whether or not the VSA can be turned off. I just looked through the interior gallery, and no button for VSA. I also noticed that everyone has been mentioning Traction control, but not Stability control.

VSA stands for Vehicle Stability Assist, so yes there is stability control. It can be turned off, the VSA switch is there.
