It's 237 because of the new SAE hp rating standard. It's the same power as last year, they just calculate it differently.

YES, but mine doesn't have stability control, drive by wire, or daytime running lights. Unless I been REALLY ignorant all these years.

i didnt know these were on the new s2000 - im very upset. since the release of the s2000, all theyve done is make it more 'liveable' for americans (i.e. - more torque/lower redline, more shoulder room for 04-06s, softer suspension compared to AP1s) and now traction control?! thank god i own an 00. whats next, giving the s2000 a 3 liter V6 with 240hp and 265 torque with a 6k redline, and a backseat?

I feel they're going in the wrong direction with the S. I don't wanna make a my02 Vs. my04 thread, but It doesn't rev to 9, lower hp/liter. now stability/traction control. What's next seat warmers?

All this BS really takes away from the raw feeling of the car. I was actually thinking about selling the S when they had killer deals on the C5 Z06, but the fact that they don't make the 2.0 anymore made me wanna keep it.

Dont give Honda ideas... it seems like everytime someone on here asks a question like " why doesn't the S2000 have stability control?" , some wise engineer or marketing person at Honda reads it and say"well, this must be what they want." The next year..... there it is.
