You're right that Americans hated the Si, but that's because it was designed as a TypeR for Europe which looks nice and it's got good power, but when they brought it state side they made is crap. Hence no Americans liked the watered-down version... Honda is such a tease, why make TypeR and not sell it in the biggest market in the world???
Cuz not enough people would buy it to make it worth it?

The old Civic Si's body was also sold in Europe as the Civic "3-door" and had in it a very underwhelming engine...

Well, this car certainly is divisive. Seems everyone loves it or hates it, I'm on the love it side of the fence. It would make a nice daily commuter, I like the interior too (simple yet futuristic looking).

I kinda like it. The tail end is some kind of funky CRX-hatch thing though. The interior is also a bit eccentric for eccentricity's sake.

I think it looks cool... if I already didn't have a strange looking car (M Coupe), I'd consider it.

i'm glad honda is getting away from boring conservative design, but i get the feeling that about half the people here wouldn't like to see most companies push the design envelope (cough bmw). we're already seeing an industry push towards edgier designs. theres no stopping progress.

I can only hope so. All we need is yet another previous economy car to be converted to a mobile global warming factory equipped with a 250+hp motor that has a huge chubby for more fuel.
