What is the options list?

Only downside is getting one for MSRP as dealer's will be jacking the prices up on them.

Even though I like the looks of the E55 better, for similiar money, I have no doubt the M5 will be much more fun to drive and faster to boot.

Looks like the RS4 will have to be priced well below $80k IMO

I guess the M5 has most everything. The only options are for stuff like heated rear seats, Multi function M seats, seat ventilation, HUD, sirus radio, keyless entry, and power sun shades.

In other words, you could live with a "base" M5 b/c it doesn't need anything.

Every option M5 = $89K (+ gas guziller tax if any).

He-He 911S starts at $81,400 (in other words pick-em').

It'd be easy to say the 505hp V10 bimmer offers more for your money over the 911S. However, if you don't need rear seats...either car would be nice and offer near the same performance.

yup, i'd be very very happy w/ base model M5 w/ ZERO options.. actually the car is pretty much loaded anyway...

make mine Interlagos blue w/ dove grey interior, MmmMMMMM///MMM kekekeke

btw, Invoice is ONLY $74,400 so in 4 yrs I could pick up a new one for substantially below MSRP...

Good luck. Even when the current M5 was ending production they were at list price over here in LA. Just too popular with too little production.

BTW, I'm already seeing MSRP + $15K for these cars. Not that bad if you consider the Chevy dealers want MSRP + $25K for the new Z06's.

I can't imagine anyone considering a M5 cross-shopping a 911... and vice-versa.

I can't imagine NOT cross-shopping them.

they're the same price. they have the same performance (near enough). Both are sporty/luxury imports (probably) aimed at the same people.

Basically they're interchangeable except as I mentioned the rear seats.

911S is probably more fun in the twisties and M5 probably does better on the highway.

99% of the people I know could live with either as a DD. Most people drive with no rear seat passengers and/or have another car/van/suv for when they need more room.

IMO
